[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]ARTIST (the album) is an intense experience of truth, meant to reunite Art and Music in a cohesive way. It is meant to be experienced as a whole with both the time-lapse of art and music playing simultaneously but can be enjoyed separately as well.

Sarah Kane wants to speak to MANY. The album is meant to break barriers of genre, race, and standard definitions of artistry.  In addition, she has had her hands in every single step of the creation process. From the beginnings on the guitar, to engineering her own recording sessions (the co-producer did this as well on their end), editing her own recording sessions, being there for almost every hour of the mixing process with three different mixing engineers, and then communicating her final intentions for the vibe of the music with the mastering engineer.

One thing she is proud of is the amount of live instrumentation on this album. She is also quite proud that ARTIST is a clear example of multiple races making magic together musically.  As the songwriter, Sarah Kane has taken songwriting to another level by spending, on average, at least 50 hours to complete a painting which further communicates the feelings she felt which originally sparked any song to be written.

To be blunt, she hopes it communicates many things to anyone experiencing it, but she hopes that it definitely communicates that Sarah REALLY means what she says and creates. Sarah wants to bring respect to the Artist again because se wants the audience to believe in what she is saying and doing.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”87″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeInRight”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” parallax=”content-moving” parallax_image=”34″ parallax_speed_bg=”2″][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”100px”][vc_column_text el_class=”text-shadow”]

From Sarah:

“I am not a gimmick.  I have purposely combined elements of Pop, Rock and Roll, Classic Rock, R&B, Hip-Hop, Country, Classical, Trance, Folk, and Electronic music to express my feelings clearly and to give respect to the art of actually understanding how to manipulate music as a trained composer. In addition, I used the same approach when completing the artwork. I used different paint mediums on different canvases. Nine paintings are oil paintings, and one is an acrylic painting. Most of the artwork has a combination of painting techniques. Much like the multi-genre approach to the music side, the artwork spans from abstract to realism. The songs were written in a little over a year, the album itself was produced in eight weeks with Eric “Boots” Greene co-producing, and the artwork was completed in approximately 18 months. All of the music was mixed and mastered during the time of the art creation.”text-shadow
